First, I want to share A Message from Unity World Headquarters:

Thursday, September 11, is Unity’s World Day of Prayer.

There is so much going on in the world. Affirmative prayer is how we quiet the noise and tap into the divine truth within us. It’s how we harness our peace and inner knowing.

Every September, friends from all over the globe celebrate the

transformative power of affirmative prayer together at Unity World Day of Prayer.

This year’s theme is “Be Still and Know.” The affirmation, “In the stillness, I awaken to divine wisdom,” will help us live out this theme. There are several ways you can get involved.

The focus of the event is the 24-hour prayer vigil. But any names or requests you send in prior to September 11 will immediately be held in continuous prayer in “Silent Unity,” the Unity Prayer Ministry. They will then be part of the prayer vigil during World Day of Prayer and remain with Silent Unity for another 30 days after that.

I look forward to joining you and our global community for joyous music, prayer, and community as we celebrate World Day of prayer.

Blessings of courage and wisdom,

Rev. Jim Blake

CEO, Unity World Headquarters

Now, back to my personal message to you all. If you have never experienced World Day of Prayer, I encourage you to register and learn more about the event at https://www.unity.org/en/article/world-day-prayer-2025 You may join online for the opening ceremony on September 10 at 7PM CT (5 PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time) and/or make plans to live stream other sessions throughout the event.

In the meantime, this Sunday we will be exploring how we can continue to embrace and practice our spiritual principles during these difficult and often “rage-inducing” times, when so much that is happening appears contrary to our highest understanding of God’s will, and also out of our control.

If you’re struggling with the current state of our nation and world – as I am – join us for this uplifting Sunday service, and help create a safe container for our anger even as we discern, individually and collectively, what is ours to do.

If there is interest, we will also create a space for discussion, following the service.

I hope to see you there!

Blessings, Rev. Vicky
